Job Description

 

We have exciting plans for continued growth and we are expanding our business development, fundraising and marketing team to help us achieve this. The Head of Business Development & Marketing (BDM) is a new leadership role that has been created to help drive revenue growth through the development of membership services and fundraising partnerships.  Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a member of the senior management team and will work closely with the Board and its various subcommittees. 

You will be a strategic thinker with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who is keen to contribute ideas and initiatives to support our new strategy for growth.  You will be responsible for leading on membership and service development, relationship management, fundraising and overseeing our marketing and communications activities.   You will position the BDM function as a centre of excellence, making significant contributions to internal processes and providing strategic analysis and insight to the Board and Senior Management Teams. As we progress, you’ll also develop our marketing capacity in new areas to help us reach our audiences by leading the development of our website and CRM and by using tactics including paid social, partnership marketing, and targeted campaigns.

This position is based in IMPRESS’s smart offices in the heart of London, within a short walk of Blackfriars station. During pandemic lockdown restrictions all staff have been working remotely and the successful candidate must be prepared to work flexibly on both a short- and longer-term basis.
