IMPRESS announces two new board members
7 November 2019. IMPRESS has announced two new appointments to its board: Shelina Janmohamed and Pam Vick.
Shelina Janmohamed is an author and newspaper columnist. She has written for publications such as The Telegraph, The Guardian, the BBC and Campaign Magazine, and has a weekly opinion column in The National UAE. She works in the advertising and branding industry and has worked with some of the world's biggest companies such as Coca-Cola, Unilever and Nestle. She was named by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising as one of the UK's "Future Female Leaders of Advertising", and by AdAge magazine as one of Europe's "Twenty Women to Watch." She sits as an advisor on WPP's Inclusion Board as well as the Inclusion Board for Ogilvy. She is a globally recognised expert on Muslim consumer trends and her most recent book "Generation M: Young Muslims Changing the World" is the defining text on the subject. She is also the author of the memoir "Love in a Headscarf". She has been named one of the UK’s 100 most powerful Muslim women.

Pam Vick is the Founder and Managing Director of Caspia Consultancy. She has a strong background as a TV and press negotiator in advertising. Past roles include Regional Director EMEA on Fruit of the Loom Clothing, Tropicana Juices, The Coca Cola Company and Oxfam projects, at Leo Burnett; Director of Marketing (Europe) for The Hertz Corporation; and Global Marketing Director for StepStone ASA, an online HR and recruitment success story which she helped rebrand and expand into 18 countries with a user base of over 1 million monthly users in just 18 months. Pam is currently a business development and marketing strategic advisor to Women on Boards UK.
Pam Vick: ‘I’m passionate about media freedom and the accountability that must sit alongside this freedom if public trust is to be gained. I’m really looking forward to working with the IMPRESS Board and executive team to expand their membership base and services and to deliver added value to existing members.’
IMPRESS Board members are independently selected by the IMPRESS Appointments Panel.
